A few days from now, Warner Bros. releases the newest version of a classic - The Wicker Man. Not sure how to take this, because I liked the original so well. I hope they do the subject justice, but I fear in the current political climate they will stress the potentially negative aspects a bit overmuch. Hard to say, as I'm not one who gets the 'sneak peeks' at new movies. I will plan to see this one and draw my own conclusions.

yes the original was cool. i wonder what take the director will have on this one.
it will be weird because the cultural aspect is totally gone - the original BRITISH film was set off the coast of Scotland, where there is much pagan history - I would like to see how they apply that facet to Washington State...
